In refurbished white with blue stripe livery, a three-car Class 101 DMU with Driving Motor Brake Second W51446 leading presumably with 59547 + 51517, was passing alongside Dawlish Warren Road on one side, and the Exe Estuary on the other side, as it approached the footcrossing at Cockwood whilst working an Exeter St Davids to Paignton all-stations service on May 29th 1981. The Lea Valley Railway Club 'The Royal Duchy' railtour at Wadebridge on 30 April 1977. The tour originated in Paddington and was loco-hauled to Par where two Class 101 sets took over, B802 (visible here, 51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) and B800. They visited numerous places ending at Plymouth where the passengers returned to the loco-hauled set for the journey back to London. Roger Geach.
The Lea Valley Railway Club 'The Royal Duchy' railtour passing Respryn Bridge which is near Bodmin Road on the Lostwithiel side on 30 April 1977. It was formed of Class 101 DMU sets B802 (51521 and presumably 59550 + 51449) and B800 (presumably 51445 + 59549 + 51515) Roger Geach.
The Lea Valley Railway club ran a tour to Wadebridge on 30 April 1977 which for part of the journey used two Met-Camm units (B800 + B802) that were unusual in Cornwall at the time. It is seen at Polbrock Bridge near Grogley Halt on its way to Wadebridge with W51521 and presumably W59550 in view. Roger Geach.
