101 693 (53266 + 59302 + 51192) departs from Markinch with the 17:27 Edinburgh - Perth service on August 13, 1993. A week later the set would become a power twin and be transferred from Haymarket to Corkerhill, the centre car remaining and reformed into set 851. Hamish Stevenson.

By 1999 time was running out for first generation DMUs in Scotland, with a handful of Met Camm power twin sets operating from Corkerhill depot on some Glasgow suburban services. A few photos were taken on 1st August that year, when these had only a few months to go before being replaced by Sprinters. 101693 (53266 visible) is seen at Motherwell after arriving on a shuttle from Whifflet. A couple of class 303 sets are stabled in the sidings alongside the “Hamilton Circle” line platforms. Murray Liston.
