The station was a mini Paddington with lovely curved overall roof, it was closed on 5th November 1967, this photograph was taken 30th August 1967. This picture, which has been published but in brutally cropped form, features a Park Royal 103/145 dmu discharging a healthy number of passengers, and a Met-Camm on the left. On 16th May 1970 a Park Royal class 103 DMU forming a Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno Junction service passes the abandoned Llechwedd exchange sidings at the foot of the narrow gauge railway incline and is about to enter Ffestiniog Tunnel, at 2 miles and 333 yards long. Gordon Edgar.
