Another summer Saturday afternoon in 1966 at Manchester and a Cravens power-twin unit and a BRCW sit alongside each other having both arrived at Manchester Victoria. The Cravens unit had arrived from Blackpool but I didn't find out where the BRCW unit was from. Edgehillsignallman@Flickr.

A two-car Cravens DMU is seen one mile west of Machynlleth in May 1966. This is one of the five sets that had the mounting for the top marker lamp but no top lamp, all five were allocated to Chester from April to September 1966. Michael Mensing.
Sadly slightly out of focus, this image shows a Cravens DMU at Heacham (looking towards Kings Lynn) on the Kings Lynn to Hunstanton line on 2 June 1966. The station closed in 1969. The KDH Archive.
One of the first batch of Cravens DMUs seen at Leeds City in August 1966. Note how the two bulbs (both white) can be clearly seen in each of the four marker lamps, later on the glass covering the lamps would be frosted. The yellow panel covers the waist level lining, on some vehicles it stopped before the lining. David Faircloth.

A mixed-livery Cravens DMU descends the Bedford-Cambridge line after crossing the ECML at Sandy on 30 January 1967. The DTCL closest is from the batch of five LMR sets that had three marker lamps and the route indicator (56145-9), all of which were allocated to Bletchley at the time. Stuart Mackay Collection.
