107 440 (and presumably 52001) leads this DMU formation at what is thought to be the former Lochgreen Junction, south of Troon, on the Ayr line heading north to Glasgow circa summer 1986. Brian Ward.
The BLS 'Firth of Lorne' tour about to pass through Garscadden station on 30 August 1987 on its way to Oban. It was formed of 107440 (presumably 52001 closest) and 101338. Brian Ward.
Strathclyde Orange and Black vehicle Sc52001 sitting facing Class 26 26010 in the holding sidings above Dundee station. At the time I had no interest in Multiple Units so have no further information. Taken across the running lines below after the once extensive railway yards had been removed but before the current (2022) developments had been started. A three-car Scottish Region Class 107 DMU (set 148) had arrived in bay platform 7 at Carlisle with a service from Kilmarnock on March 25th 1979. Only one vehicle number was captured - SC52028 at the far end, but the other two vehicles are believed to be 52002 + 59799. Martyn Hilbert.
On a snowy March 23rd 1980, a Derby built Class 107 Driving Motor Brake Second SC52002, complete with 'Greater Glasgow Trans-Clyde' branding, had been split from three-car set 148 and was stood in the yard at Hamilton Depot. SC52002 would be finally withdrawn from service in March 1986 and scrapped at Ayr Depot. Martyn Hilbert.

The Saturdays only 1108 Girvan to Glasgow Central rasps its way out of Paisley Gilmour Street. Class 107 DMBS SC52002 leads the way but as was normal for the period the 6 car rake comprises a mix of unit types. Bruce Galloway.

107442 (presumably 52003) is on display at Ayr station at the Open Days of 29th and 30th (pictured) October 1983. The Open Days were held to celebrate the announcement of the electrification of the railway to Glasgow, which was completed in September 1986. Gordon Thomson.
A hybrid DMU formed SC52003 + SC59565 + SC52035 in Largs station waiting to depart to Glasgow Central on 28 December 1983. Just a few days later 52003 would be caught in a fire in Ayr depot and withdrawn. Brian Daniels.
