(d) Broken springs of units. Noted that one unit of 3 cars had been taken out of service on the 25th October owing to five broken bearing springs. Mr.Stanley stated that there were not sufficient springs on hand to replace the broken springs locally and he has called for a full report.
(e) Halt at Garston Lane. Agreed not to proceed with this proposal.
3. Bury - Bacup Scheme
(a) Traffic receipts to 30.9.56. shown on Appendix "A" attached.

(c) Costs of operation. Mr.Nicholls stated that certain information had been compiled but was not complete and it was agreed that a post costing be made after 12 months operation of the diesel service.

5. North Wales Part 1 Scheme

6. Manchester Part 1 scheme
(a) Service commenced on certain sections on 8th October. Noted satisfactory report on first week's working. Report to be furnished to General Manager after one month's operation.
(b) Halt between Hazel Grove and Middlewood. Mr.Read stated that this is at present the subject of enquiry.
