Scheme approved by General Manager for submission to Area Board. Awaiting approval of B.T.C. Officers. Proposal is for the use of 2 x 150 H.P. (MC + MC) units.
Original order for this scheme was five units (MC + MC) built at Derby and already delivered and 14 units (MC + MC) from Cravens and a further seven units are required to make a total of 26 units.
As the Derby built units will not couple with the Cravens units it was agreed that the number of additional units to be ordered should be increased from seven to twelve (MC + MC). Consideration to be given to the use of the five Derby built units elsewhere, and it was noted that no further units fitted with this type of jumper will be built.
