3.  St.Pancras Suburban Scheme  (Contd.)

(c) Closing of stations

Noted that T.U.C.C. had agreed to the closing of Napsbury station.

(d) Publicity

Mr.Salmon reported that a preliminary press inspection had been arranged for June 1st.

(e) Inspection of train set

The Chairman stated that the General Manager, himself and other officers would be making a short run on a train set from St.Pancras on Wednesday, May 20th, and invited the members of the Committee to participate on the run, further details of which would be circulated later.

4.  Bletchley - Oxford - Cambridge Scheme

Scheme approved by Area Board on February 4th and submitted to Commission.  Mr.Pearson reported that it had now been decided to submit this line for closing to passenger traffic and the Commission and the Trade Unions have been so informed.

After discussion it was agreed that the submission for the introduction of a diesel service be withdrawn from the Commission for the time being, it being understood that this could be re-submitted if it were eventually decided to introduce a diesel service.

1.  Marylebone Suburban Service

(a) Submission of Scheme

Noted that although the final submission had been prepared it had not yet been approved by the Regional Accountant and would not be ready for presentation to the Area Board on May 6th.  The Chairman stressed the necessity for the submission to go to the June meeting of the Area Board, the revised programme being as follows :-
