Noted that scheme approved by Area Board and now awaiting Commission authority.
Noted that departmental proposals received and scheme to be considered at the March Area Board meeting.
Noted there was now a considerable improvement in the diesel unit operation.
A summary of passenger complaints of design of stock was considered, and it was agreed that no action was necessary.
Noted that Director of Traffic Services has under consideration the possibility of using the 3-car A.C.V. units as staff trains between Annesley M.P. depot and Bulwell in place of steam push and pull units, and enquiries are continuing. Other departments have no suggestions to offer for use of the units.
The Chairman stated that information had been received of failures of units on this service powered by Rolls Royce engines. Mr.Robson gave details of the technical difficulties which were being encountered. Mr.Gould would circulate a report on the working of the scheme for consideration at the next meeting.
(a) Statements of receipts for November, 1959 attached as Appendix 'A'.
(b) Statement of traffic receipts compared with anticipated receipts for schemes in operation considered, and agreed that Mr.Johnson, in conjunction with Mr.Horner as necessary, would scrutinise and report in two months.
