DMBS: BR 516 & DTC: BR 641
These show the vehicles in their re-engined form. Diagram BR 641 was also used for 56000 as the body and interiors were identical, only differering in control systems.
There was also an earlier alternative version BR 516 showing both vehicles as a set. This still shows 50049 as lot no. 30209 (it became 30459)

Taken during construction circa mid-1956. It shows a completed bogie being lifted (or dropped), and an underframe with vacuum pipes being fitted.

The front saloon of DMBS E50048, which is non-smoking. The small signs ('tablets') on the seat backs warn about hitting your head on the luggage rack as you stand up.

This is the guard's van of E50048 looking to the rear of the vehicle with the DTC E56048 visible at the other side of the gangway. The guard's seat is behind the left partition.
