SC51470 from set 101335 is seen in Kyle Street Sidings at Ayr circa mid-1982. Another Class 101 can be seen behind the wall in the station. John Horne.
101 335 has a Class 107 vehicle at the rear when seen near Kilmacolm on the 17th December 1982, less than a month before the line closed. Hamish Stevenson.
A Class 101/107 hybrid set is seen arriving at Kilmacolm with the 12:06 service from Glasgow Central on December 21st, 1982. Hamish Stevenson.
101 335 (a 101/101/107 hybrid) pauses at Paisley Canal for one of the last scheduled services to Kilmacolm before the line closed on 8th Jan 1983. The land around the signal box in this photo was sold in undue haste for housing development and although the line reopened as a single track spur to Paisley Canal it is highly unlikely that it will ever reopen as the important through line it once was.
