The commuters standing beside TY532 (presumably 50079 closest) in Tyseley station circa 1970 don't look too happy. Has their train been delayed? cancelled? Stuart Mackay Collection.
TY532 (presumably 50079) appears to have just arrived at Birmingham Moor Street circa 1970. Are the passengers awaiting to board? They seem to have questions for the guard. Set TY527 can just be seen on the right to which it shall couple before departure. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Tyseley based DMU set TS543 (53079 + 59439 + 53114) waits to depart Birmingham Moor Street on 11/08/84 with train 2H57 the 13.30 to Leamington Spa while in the background set TS517 is in charge of train 2H67 the 13.40 to Shirley. When this shot was taken the former carriage sidings and Snow Hill line to the right was just waste land covered in vegetation and Moor Street station consisted of just the three terminus platforms. A mixed industrial scene between Cradley Heath and Lye stations on the Birmingham to Droitwich line on 4 July 1987 as class 116 T629 presumably formed of 53114 + 59592 + 53079 worked from Birmingham New Street to Stourbridge Junctions where it would have reversed and gone back to the city.
