Dec-59 Transferred to 14A (Cricklewood)

Then the allocations for 59610 are:

17/07/83 Transferred to TS (Tyseley) - also reported as 10/10/82

Class 127 DMU at Tyseley depot

7th June 1986

Hiding behind the smoke from Metropolitan 1 is Class 127 TSL 59610 with Class 116 DMS 53114 on the left. The DMBS is likely 53079, the three vehicles formed set TS629 at the time. Tyseley depot, 7 June 1986. Keith Miller.

Class 127 DMU at Snailwell

10th September 1991

Class 127 TSL at Snailwell on 10th September 1991. Nicholas Youngman.

The vehicle is mentioned in the following images:

DMU

Date: August 1964

Set number: 304

Derby suburban triple set 304 seen at Widney Manor with a Leamington service in early August 1964. DMBS 50059 leads, presumably with 59004 + 50104. The set would become TY504 and then TS504, retaining the same vehicles until 1983 when Class 127 TSL 59610 replaced 59004 as a means of reducing the number of vehicles containing asbestos. Michael Mensing.

DMU

Date: 8th April 1983

A London Midland Region publicity image (negative W19344/4) dated 8 April 1983. The details on the rear has the title 'Midland Suburban Electrification - London-Bedford' and the text 'A four-car diesel multiple unit leaving St. Pancras station. The trains are shortly to be replaced by four-car Class 317 electric multiple units.' Leading is M51599, the second car is M59610 in blue/grey livery. British Rail.

DMU

Date: 7th July 1984

Set number: TS504

A Class 116 DMU at University, Birmingham on 07/07/84. Partly obscured, the set number TSx04 and the corner damage suggest this is set TS504 and 53059, the 127 centre car is probably 59610. Steve Jones.

DMU

Date: 1st June 1986

Set number: TS629

TS629 (presumably 53114 + 59610 + 53079) with another set are seen on a Coalville depot open day shuttle approaching Coalville on 1 June 1986. The are passing another six-car formation which included DMBS M53055 with the WM logo on the van side. Stuart Mackay Collection.

DMU

Date: 6th May 1987

Set number: TS602

53082/59610/53886 running 25 minutes late on the 12.59 Reading to Birmingham New Street at Leamington Spa on 06/05/87. Steve Jones.

DMU

Date: September 1988

Set number: T401

A four-car suburban DMU - set T401 - sits in Sheffield station in September 1988. Closest is Class 115 DMBS 51662, the centre cars are presumably Class 115 TS 59743 and Class 127 TSL 59610. The rear car is a Class 116 DMS. George Woods.

DMU

Date: September 1988

Set number: T40

A four-car suburban DMU at Sheffield in September 1988. Closest is a Class 1l6 DMS with the set number missing the last digit - it could be a stand in for the regular vehicle. At the far end is Class 115 DMBS 51662, the two centre cars are presumably Class 127 TSL 59610 and Class 115 TS 59743. George Woods.

DMU

Date: 11th March 1989

Set number: T401

A four-car Tyseley DMU, set 401, passing the signalbox at Bearley Junction on 11 March 1989. This unit is a right hotch-potch with a class 116 DMS 53886, class 115 TS 59743, class 127 TSL 59610 and Class 115 DMBS 51662. This mixture of types was far from unusual at Tyseley around this time with the depot using whatever they had available to keep trains running at a time of dreadful reliability. Peter Tandy.

DMU

Date: 15th March 1989

Set number: T401

Hybrid 4-car DMU with Class 115 DMBS 51662 leading arriving Lichfield Trent Valley from Birmingham on 15-3-89. The set is presumably formed 51662+59610+59743+53886, Class 115+127+115+116, DMBS+TLS+TS+DMS, but formations were very fluid at Tyseley at this time! On Tour With The Class 13 Army.
