A South Gosforth trailer brake three-car Met-Camm DMU set (E50180 closest) in Whitby station with the 17:13 to Newcastle station on 16 July 1976. Robert Thomas.
On 30-12-1980 E50180 is seen beside the turntable at Darlington, still in use for turning individual DMU vehicles then, and remained in place for may more years.. I made more generous notes on my photos then, so for those interested, the vans to the right are S1702, S94531, S1838 which had been condemned at Darlington after a shunting mishap. John Carter.
