Norwich Crown Point Set 102 E53193, E59084, E53180 with an East Suffolk Line service enters Ipswich 290581 Steve Knight.
E50263 leads a Newcastle-Darlington train past Wheatleywell Lane, Plawsworth, early 1982. Interestingly the rear DMC has been replaced by a DMBS. The first class accommodation in the leading car appears to have been downgraded as there's no yellow stripe above the windows. Elsewhere on www.railcar.co.uk, it's reported that this set was formed of vehicles E50263 + E59063 + E59084 + E51211 at that time, which is consistent with the vehicle types seen in this view. On 18 February 1984 Hertfordshire Railtours ran a railtour utilising a class 47 with eight Mk 1 carriages between London King's Cross and Darlington and a 7-car Met-Camm dmu formation (53244 + 59084 + 53149 and 53295 + 53150 and 53188 + 51219) thence to Redmire and Eastgate as "The Norseman 2". In this view an HR rep is either placing or removing the headboard from Class 101 DMC(L) 53244. Jeremy Chapter.
