A few passengers make their way across the footbridge at Markinch as class 101 set 221 forming 2G75 15.22 Dundee to Edinburgh prepares to depart on 3rd April 1980. This picture from 2 June 1990 shows T033, a class 101/116 power twin (presumably 53269 + 53849), one of of Tyseley's sets intended to cope with Sprinter timings, passing Smethwick Rolfe Street station with the 09.30 Birmingham New Street to Hereford service.
