A three-car Met-Camm DMU forms the 2.40pm service to Kirkcaldy seen awaiting departure from Glasgow Queen Street station on 27 May 1961. Closest is SC51462 allocated to Dundee at the time. The view looking towards Kidderminster at Stourbridge Junction station on a dull day in March isn't one of the finest in the West Midlands. On 1 March 1986 the unusual sight of Cardiff's class 101 C805 (presumably 51530 and 51462) coupled to a class 105 made taking this shot worthwhile. The train was a Kidderminster to Birmingham New Street service long before these went to the rebuilt Snow Hill station. Peter Tandy.
