Set B804 descends Stormy Down bank on the South Wales Main Line approaching Pyle working between Bridgend and Port Talbot. The origin and ultimate destination of this service are not known. It is believed that 51523 is leading. Robert Hope.

Class 101 DMU set no. C804 (W51523 + W51452) stands at Llandeilo with the 12.27 Swansea to Shrewsbury waiting to cross a late running southbound service on the single line on July 2, 1983. Having collected the single line token from the signal box at nearby Midge Hall, a Class 101 two-car DMU formed of cars M51523 & M53219 (N657) was gaining momentum as it was passing Pages Crossing at Ulnes Walton whilst en-route to its next station call at Croston with a Preston to Ormskirk service on April 29th 1989.
