A 2-Car Class 108 with Motor Brake Second M53925 leading, passes over Pages Crossing, a farm access road between Midge Hall and Ulnes Walton, as it works a tea-time Preston to Ormskirk service on July 9th 1985. Martyn Hilbert.
With Class 142 142045 stood at Leyland with a Liverpool Lime Street to Preston service, a Class 108/104 three-car hybrid DMU was passing on the Up Fast with a Heysham Harbour to Stockport 'limited stop' service on June 19th 1987. The Buxton allocated DMU had been a long way from its home depot and was formed of cars M53925, M59144 & M52065. Following withdrawal by Northern in 2019, 142045 eventually found a new home at Kirk Merrington Primary School in County Durham in 2020. Martyn Hilbert.
Set BX371 stands at Buxton Station on 30/12/1988. Individual vehicle numbers were not noted at the time, but the leading car of this 3-car set is believed to be 53925 from the damage above the roller blind. The other cars are believed to be 59155 (centre) and 52039 (driving) Robert Hope.
