Notes

27/08/82 - L591 (51059 + 59433 + 51102) was an unusual site at Twickenham. The the unit spent the whole day parked in the bay platform after failing due to a hot box the night before while on a Redhill to Reading via Clapham Junction mail train.

Surprisingly, the car number can be seen to include the E-prefix - at a time when the regional prefixing was being abandoned - yet the former Cardiff Division set formation number C591 has been left on the front of the cab.
