Cravens set 60 - E56443 and E51285 - at Harwich ready to work a service to Manningtree on 30 July 1973. David Mant.
On 15th April 1982 Norwich based Cravens twin set no. 64 led by E51257 with a trailer which I believe to be E56443 (in the foreground) is seen at Ely, more than likely en route from Peterborough to Cambridge. 31411 was on the Ipswich - Paisley speedlink. Copyright: Chris Burton. Gerard Fletcher.

Class 105 DTC 54443 (set 42, presumably with 51272) is seen stabled in Tyseley on February 22, 1986. Andy Cole.
Tyseley depot has for many years hosted other regions' DMUs when fuelling is required as was the case on 22 March 1986 when 3 all-blue Cravens class 105 units were photographed heading towards Birmingham New Street ready to go east on a Norwich service. The trailing set is number 42, formed of 54443 and presumably 51272, with the instantly recognisable Birmingham city skyline in the background along with the well-used freight yard on the left. This scene has changed since the date of this picture with new housing on the right, a rationalised yard on the left and many changes to the city buildings in the background. Peter Tandy.

E51272 + E56443 at Brampton on a Lowestoft to Ipswich service, 2 June 1983. Phil Bevan.
Before the introduction of the RETB signalling on the East Suffolk line, a pair of Cravens Class 105 units leave a smokescreen over Lowestoft as they depart on the 12.55 to Ipswich on Thursday August 18th 1983. Set 42 has E51272 & E56443 leading with set 46 E56434 + E51273 trailing. Both units were reallocated to Norwich from Finsbury Park in February 1978. Gerard Fletcher.
Norwich set 42 - 51272 54443 - with a late morning Nottingham - Skegness via Grantham service contrast with a 114 set recently arrived from Peterborough as it awaits departure at Sleaford on Saturday 14th September 1985. Colin Brooks.
Over the Easter weekend of 1986 (28th-31st March) Norwich station was closed for track remodelling and electrification work this saw the unusual re-opening of Trowse station as an interchange and bus transfer point for passengers destined for Norwich. The station at Trowse was an early closure having lost its passenger service on 05/09/1939. The fact the platform remained largely intact allowed it to be fettled up with a gravel surface and signage for services over the four day re-opening. On 31/03/86 Class 105 DMU set 42 (51272+54443) is at the front of 2B29 the 12.19 from Lowestoft to Trowse having disgorged its passengers onto the island platform at Trowse. The crew have changed ends in readiness to work 2B16 the 13.42 back to Lowestoft while intending passengers join the 12.48 Great Yarmouth to London Liverpool Street both trains would have arrived via the Wensum curve avoiding Norwich. Adrian Nicholls.
