There were no details with this negative other than being Huntly station. It's taken out of a Swindon Cross set, of which the power car nearer the rear is still in green livery. Attached to the back is a Met-Camm TBSL set, the far power car in blue, the closest seems to be green, the centre car is hard to tell. Inverness only had one TBSL Met-Camm, 50186 + 59080 + 50187 on loan from Hamilton between June and September 1970. Note the two BRUTES and at least four trolleys lined up on the left platform, a sign that a lot of mail/parcels was carried - the reason for the Class 120 DMBF conversions. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Class 101 (with a TBS that is probably 59080) and Class 105 formation pass Class 303 units in the sidings outside Glasgow Central in March 1974. John McIntyre.
A Class 101 unit departs from Glasgow Central (possibly to Lanark) alongside Class 303 unit no 042 on a Cathcart Circle service in March 1974. The leading DMC is probably 50186 or 50187 and the centre car is probably 59080. John McIntyre.
Class 101 DMU set 220 (SC50159 + SC59080 + SC50194) in Stirling station on Monday 18 June 1979. Dunblane is on the destination blind, yet it is in one of the bay platforms (platform 7) at the south end of the station. David Russon.
Met-Camm DMU set 101364 with SC50268 closest arriving into Dunblane station circa early 1980s. SC50242 is on the rear, the TBSL is presumably SC59080. Paul Redmond.
Met-Camm DMU set 101364 with SC50242 closest in Dunblane station circa early 1980s. SC50268 is on the far end, the TBSL is presumably SC59080. Paul Redmond.
With the roof vents removed from all three vehicles, TBS set 101364 (53242 leading, presumably with 59080 and 53268) is seen at Inverkeithing Junction coming from the Rosyth direction with an Edinburgh service on the 5th April 1983. Stuart Mackay.
Scottish Region Met-Camm trailer brake second sets were not unusual, but four-car sets were. Sc53242 leads 101364 south through Lancaster on May 31, 1983. The TBSL and rear DMSL are presumably normal long-time partners 59080 and 53268, the set had been transferred from Haymarket to Ayr earlier that month. The additional TSL seems to be 59302. Graeme Phillips Collection.
101364 (53242 and presumably 59080 + 53268) heads out of Edinburgh Waverley with a Cowdenbeath service in 1986. S Saunders.
53242 heads set 101364 (with presumably 59080 and 53268) seen at Saughton on the 5th March 1986 with the 14:18 Edinburgh - Bathgate service. Hamish Stevenson.
53242 leads set 101364 (presumably with 59080 + 53268) on a Bathgate - Edinburgh working at Bathgate on the first day of services - March 24, 1986. Hamish Stevenson.
Set 101364 (presumably 53242 + 59080 + 53268) in platform 15 at Edinburgh Waverley with the 10:18 Edinburgh - Bathgate service on March 24, 1986. Hamish Stevenson.
101 310 (53163 + 59302 + 51234) with 53268 + 59080 + 53242 at Bathgate with the 13:03 Bathgate - Edinburgh Waverley, 28th March 1986. Hamish Stevenson.
101 364 (presumably 53242 + 59080 + 53268) at the then recently opened station at Bathgate on 12/4/86, looking east. The station had opened on 24/3/86 with the restoration of services to Edinburgh. This station was replaced by a two platform through station further east in 2010 as part of the re-opening of the Bathgate to Airdrie line. Kenneth Leiper.
53242 leading 101364 (presumably with 59080 + 53268) into Edinburgh Waverley with a newly introduced service from Bathgate. Note the Bathgate Link logo on the bodyside. S Saunders.
101364 calls at Haymarket station with the 17.18 Edinburgh - Bathgate train on 19-08-1986. 53268 leads, presumably with 59080 and 53242 behind. Gordon Thomson.
Two Class Met-Camm DMUs at Thornton depot, date unknown. Closest is 101364 (53242 and presumably 59080 + 53268). Walter Burt.
101364, a set allocated to the recently re-opened Bathgate line at the time, passes through Princes Street Gardens circa 1988. 53242, presumably with 59080 + 53268. S Saunders.
Different DMUs at Dalmeny. Three different classes of DMU in two trains crossing at Dalmeny in July 1988. On the left is Met Camm class 101364 (53242+59080+53268), while the hybrid set (386) on the right is Derby class 108s 51926 and 53631 sandwiching a BRCW class 110 centre car 59697. Murray Liston.
I'm on the phone! DMU activity at Dalmeny in July 1988. The driver of Met Camm class 101364 (53242 + 59080 + 53268) is on the phone to control, while the hybrid set (386) approaching on the right is Derby class 108s 51926 and 53631 sandwiching a BRCW class 110 centre car 59697. Identifying power cars on TBSL sets where both are DMSs can be tricky, in this case it is made easier by 53242 having a different radius to the lower left corner of the black mask around the cab windows. Murray Liston.
The old & the new at Kilmarnock Open Day on 11-09-88. Classic dmu traction (101364 53242 and presumably 59080 + 53268) alongside to date the only visit of a class 318 emu (from the neighbouring Ayr - Glasgow line) to Kilmarnock station. However these emus were all refurbished in 2005 - 06 in the nearby Barclay works. Gordon Thomson.
Class 101 set 104 53321 + 59080 + 51531 (and others) stand in Swavesey station, March 24, 1990. Nicholas Youngman.
DMUs at Doncaster on 3 June 1991, right to left are 975540 (ex 55016), 53268, 59079, 59080, 595x9, 59093, 51509 and 53321. Keith Miller.
