(e) Lengthening of platforms - Mr.Gould stated that if first class seating were introduced, it may involve the lengthening of certain platforms, and this point was under examination.

(f) Maintenance and fuelling facilities - Mr.Taylor reported that no decision had yet been reached on the use of either Neasden or Marylebone, but he hoped to give definite information at the next meeting.

626.  SCHEMES ALREADY IN OPERATION

(1) Watford - St.Albans
Harrow - Belmont

Future use of A.C.V. units - Deferred.

(2)  West Cumberland Scheme

Mr.Dow said he was not yet in a position to supply details of the proposed changes in the diesel service between Penrith and Workington following discussions with Cumberland Motor Services Ltd.

(3)  Liverpool (C) - Gateacre - Warrington (C)

Service commenced January 6th, 1958, with six 2-car sets; increased to nine to cover peak loadings.  Noted it had now been decided to operate service with six 2-car sets, peak traffic being covered by locomotive hauled trains.
