Mr.Gould stated it was not considered advisable to add to the types of units employed on parcels services and there would be no advantage in a vehicle of the type described by Messrs.Wickham.
Noted that submission for withdrawal of passenger service will be made to the T.U.C.C. at the end of March, 1959.
Noted that approval of the L.M. Area Board has now been given to these proposals and the North Eastern Region have submitted to the Commission.

Mr.Lambert reported that the estimated cost for the erection of a new building could not be reduced below the figure of £100,000, as the total estimated cost including work by the Signal Engineer and Chief Mechanical & Electrical Engineer and in addition approximately £15,000 for fuelling facilities at New Basford Sidings, would be of the order of £140,000. It was agreed that Mr.Lambert proceed with preparation of an estimate for a new building, and Mr.Gould will look specially into the preparation of schemes for the introduction of diesel services in the Derby, Nottingham and Leicester areas, to enable a submission to be made quickly.
First part of scheme introduced on June 9th, 1958. Remainder of scheme will be brought into operation on June 15th, 1959.
