2nd May 1965
A Gloucester twin DMU at The Hawthorns station, and despite Manchester being on the destination blind this was the 12:15 Birmingham Snow Hill - Stafford service on Sunday 2 May 1965.
The train was normally the 12:00 from New Street, but it was diverted from the Stour Valley due to electrification. Michael Mensing.

A hybrid dmu formation with a class 100 DMBS, M50343, at the rear leaves platform 1 at Birmingham New Street heading for Kidderminster. 50343 was based at Tyseley from May 1975 until withdrawal in September 1981 having previously been based in Scotland. This photo was probably taken around 1980.
The two Class 101 cars in the formation are presumably M59124 + M50332. Tony Walmsley.

The Provincial liveried Stourton Saloon 975637 and 975664, ex-class 100 DMU set stabled in what was platform 2 at Lincoln Central with 37 106.
This part of Lincoln station is now a car park but it looks like it was heading that way then! June 1987. Robert Chilton.
