51541 - 51550 (DMBS) + 59569 - 59572 (TS) / 59573 - 59578 (TBSL) + 51551 - 51560 (DMS)
The DMBS was to BR Diagram 615, the TSL to BR Diagram 623, the TBSL to BR Diagram 625 and the DMC to BR Diagram 617.
Diagram 623 was shared with many other Met-Camm center cars.
Note the van door arrangement is shown in error as the later type.
The DMBS was DQ 216, TSL was DT 202, TBSL was DT 221 and the DMC DP 315.
On the page two of DP 315 the builder is wrongly described as BRC&W.
Thanks to Kevin Dowd for supplying many of these images.
Negative DZ224
E51550 + E59573 and presumably E51560 on a test run at Aldridge. Of note is that records show the power cars went new to 56G on 08/03/60, the buffet car went new to 50B but not until May 1960.
Negative DZ228
The drivers compartment of E51560 circa March 1960. Apart from the cab window frames it was painted a much lighter colour than the first batch of these vehicles.
Negative DZ231
The buffet area of a new TSBL circa March 1960. In this view the buffet counter is closed.
