The 1957 ER 3-car sets were unusual in that the DMCs were numbered lower than the DMBSs.
Power cars weighed 33tons, trailers 25tons.
Two of the trailer seconds were renumbered in 1990 to avoid clashing with the new Class 59 locos: 59101 to 59110 and 59105 to 59111.
