Hybrid 2-car DMU with Class 116 DMBS 53054 + Class 101 DMCL 53245 as Tyseley set T036 in the platform at Boston for Skegness 24-8-92. On Tour With the Class 13 Army.

T036 (53054 + 53245) is a 116/101 hybrid set seen at Skegness with the 11:47 to Nottingham, 12th February 1993. Gazza Prescott.
On 11 April 1986 a class 101/116 hybrid set T036 formed of 53245 + 53054 was pictured descending Hatton Bank forming the 14.12 Stratford-upon-Avon to Leamington service in place of the usual single or double class 122 set. The Down Goods Loop was very rarely used at this time as there was plenty of time between local trains, the only passenger services on the line at the time, for the frequent freight workings. A hybrid 2-car DMU, T036 (53245 + 53054) based at Tyseley, arrives at Peterborough with a service from Doncaster on 31 December 1992. There is a photo on Flickr of this same unit operating the 12.10 from Doncaster, which ran via Sleaford, so I think this must be that train. Lewis Bevan.
