Class 107 set 155 (52009 and presumably 59802 + 52035) in Carlisle station, Ayr is on the destination blind. The slide process date was June 1979. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A Strathclyde 107/101 hybrid between two suburban sets in Birmingham New Street in 1984. Nearest the camera is Class 116 M53857, followed by Class 107 vehicles SC51990 and SC59802 and Met-Camm Sc51803. Graeme Phillips Collection.
A Strathclyde liveried set in Duddeston station on 24 August 1984. The rear two Class 107 vehicles (presumably 59802 + 51990) carried set number 107430. The 101 - 51803 - carried 101340, probably in error as it would soon be altered to 101430. Alan Harrison.

SC51803 displays the set number 101 430 when seen at Glasgow Central - probably sometime in August or September 1984, shortly after the vehicle's transfer to Ayr. The Class 107 centre car should be 59802. Andrew McConnell.

Adrossan Town station on 23 March 1986 just before electrification of the route was expected to commence. At the head of the line of Class 101/107 units is Metro-Cammell hybrid unit 101430 (comprising 51803 + 59802 + 52008) in Strathclyde PTE livery. A full electrified service commenced from 19th January 1987. Gordon Edgar.
101430 has 51803 closest and two Class 107 vehicles (presumably 59802 + 52008), and is working with a Class 120 set on an Ayr service arriving into Barassie on September 24, 1986. Hamish Stevenson.

101 317 at Largs on the Saturday of DMU services, 17th January 1987. Prior to full electrification to Largs, the new Class 318 service was terminated at Ardrossan with a shuttle DMU service onwards to Largs and Ardrossan Harbour. The last weekend of the DMU shuttle was operated by a somewhat raggedy collection of vehicles - the DMBS from 101 317 (51243) in blue/grey, a Class 107 centre car (presumably 59802) and DMS 51803 from 101 430 (both in Strathclyde Red).
