Liskeard - Looe
The 8 3/4 mile branch would be worked by Plymouth allocated sets — mainly single cars but in the busier summer months other types could be found. There were a few services that worked through from Plymouth.

Western 1043 arrives into Liskeard station with the up Golden Hind, the 05:05 Penzanze - Paddington on Thursday 25 July 1974. Class 116 set P356 had been detached from the 05:45 Plymouth - Newquay service to work a service to Looe at 06:20. Roger Geach.

2nd January 1975
The Looe branch train at Liskeard on 2nd January 1975, formed of Derby set P322 (possibly 50132 closest?). The dmu is standing in the Looe platform that is located on the north side of the station at right-angles to the GWR main line beyond. Just noticed the brake van in the siding on the far left. The line runs north for a short distance before swinging sharply to the east & passing beneath the main line continuing round to head north again to Coombe Junction & reversal down to Looe.
