BR (Swindon) Cross Country 2-car dmu (Class 120) No.C604 (presumably 50701 + 50681) with Central Wales Line headlamp between cab windows, in BR Rail Blue & Grey with all yellow front end, at Whitland, having arrived on a service from Milford Haven, and awaiting the arrival of a 3-car Class 120 from Pembroke Dock to join-up on a continuing service to Swansea (High St), 07/75. BR (Swindon) Cross Country 2-car dmu (Class 120) No.C604 in BR Rail Blue & Grey with all yellow front end, at Milford Haven having arrived from Cardiff (General) and awaiting return to Swansea (High St), 07/75. The wooden station was built by the Milford Jct. Railway in 1863, which joined the South Wales Railway. This station was demolished some time ago. Hugh Llewelyn.

It will be coupled-up to two 3-car dmus - another Class 120 and a BR (Derby) Class 116 - from Pembroke Dock to continue onto Swansea (High St) - all 8 coaches! W51054 is the DMBC in C572 (presumably with 59413 + 51082) when seen at Milford Haven on the 15:15 from Swansea, 16th April 1980. Hamish Stevenson.

The 11:35 Milford Haven - Swansea service arrives into Haverfordwest on the 17th April 1980. Formed of Swindon Cross-country DMU set C613 (presumably 50691 + 59277 + 50728). By the end of the year it was transferred from Cardiff to Chester depot. Hamish Stevenson.

On the right W50649 leading two two-car Class 120s on the 08.40 Milford Haven-Swansea is about to pass W51579 leading two three-car Class 120s on the 10.10 Swansea-Shrewsbury at Loughor on 6 September 1980. Robert Thomas.

A rather grubby Class 120 'Swindon Cross Country' set no. C615 (51781+59682+51788) is seen at Carmarthen during its reversal with train 2C64 the 13.15 Swansea to Milford Haven on 11/04/81. These 'Swindon' sets were synonymous with West Wales in the late 1970's early 80's with a mix of 2 and 3 car units covering the majority of no loco hauled services. Adrian Nicholls.
