Info from Tim Gornall
A Class 105 (thought to be E56136) hit the buffer stop at Prudhoe. The unit had been put into the old coal siding opposite the signal box for some reason. However, the driver managed to hit the buffer stop and push it into the road. Unit was recovered the next morning.

On a swelteringly hot July 28th 1983, Norwich Cravens twin set no. 44 : E51289 +E54136 approaches Manea working the 14.52 Cambridge - Peterborough service. These units gave sterling service in East Anglia, though many had followed the example of E51289 by initially working off Lincoln depot for a few weeks when new in 1958, then going south to become part of the Hornsey /Finsbury Park allocation. E51289 arrived at Norwich in February 1978 and finished its career there in September 1985. Like most of its type, it met its end at the Snailwell yard of Mayer Newman. Gerard Fletcher.
