Swindon-built MBSL E51952 in Leeds station while working the 1.43pm Hull - Manchester Victoria on July 2, 1977. The Trans-Pennine vehicle would have it's engines removed in July 1981 and be renumbered 59838. Michael Mensing.

A Swindon-built DMU formation (51954 + 59838 + 59235 + 51958) is seen in Sheffield station with a Manchester - Hull service on 2/6/83. Most vehicles are Class 124 Trans-Pennines, the third in the formation is a Class 123 trailer second. Stuart Mackay Collection.
