The first Derby suburban triple (Class 116) DMU when brand new circa April 1957. The vehicles in this Derby Works image (negative 57/461) are W50050 + W59000 + W50092 probably taken at Rushton on the Churnet Valley line. Note the marker lamps on the cab front, they are not painted in the cab colour as they normally were. Also the outer pair are shallower than normal and have a plate fitted over them.
