A 100/116/116 hybrid DMU in Leicester station with the 16:47 to Nottingham on 23 August 1975. M51110 has a Tyseley set number - possibly TY529 - in the cab window. It had been transferred there from Scotland in May of that year and it would remain there until withdrawal in August 1982 as a space power working in a variety of formations. Phillip Malin.
A hybrid dmu set, with the set number TS404, waits between duties at Leicester station on 2 August 1978. The individual car numbers are: 51110 - Class 100 DMBS; 56296 - Class 122 DTS; 50766 - Class 105 DMBS. Lewis Bevan.
M51110 leading a mixed 3 car set, TY 414, which should consist of Cl 100-M51110, Class 101- M59543, Class 105-50812, the last two vehicles having had their first class downgraded to second class only. Birmingham New St, 28th June 1982. Paul James.
The negative sleeve recorded this as 56310 + 51110 on the 2.35pm Waverley to North Berwick service departing Prestopans on 10 May 1969. However 56310 had been transferred from Scotland to South Gosforth a couple of years earlier so that part is likely wrong. 51110 was a Leith Central vehicle. Stuart Mackay Collection.
One of Tyseley depots DMU lash-ups TS416, thought to be class 105 51490, class 104 59193 and class 100 51110, has just passed Bentley Heath Crossing on a Dorridge - Birmingham Moor Street train. 4 April 1980. Chris Morrison.
A number of DMUs can be seen on Worcester depot on 20 July 1980. From left to right are a 116, 120, and a 105 + 101 + 100 hybrid which is possibly TS414 50812 + 59543 + 51110. Neil Smith.
A cold night at Shirley station, pausing briefly is a very mixed unit on the 18.41 Birmingham Moor St - Stratford-upon-Avon, 8/12/1981. With Class 100 DMBS M51119 on the rear with set number TS414, the other two vehicles are presumably Class 101 59543 and Class 100 DMBS 51110. Geoff Dowling.
