6th January 1958

A GRC&W DMU on the newly inaugurated Liverpool (Central)-Warrington (Central) diesel service which began on 6th January 1958. Brunswick depot had nine of these sets from January 1958, they all moved to Ryecroft that June. Driver E. Harold is at the controls and on the platform are Messrs F. Walton, DOC Liverpool Central, A.M. Todd, DMPS Bank Hall, C.S. Longsdale, DMPS Edge Hill, G.V. Davies, SM Liverpool Central, MGE Lambert, Divisional Traffic Manager, and T.C. Byron, DPM. British Railways.

Class 100 DMU at Garston

March 1958

Two GRC&W twins at Garston, Liverpool, in March 1958, possibly on a service from Warrington. M50352 and M50355 are recorded as being the power cars, they were allocated to Brunswick depot from January to June 1958 and are presumably running with their regular trailer cars M56107 and M56110.
