Some Class 104 TBS's spent a brief spell in Scotland, here SC59215 is seen at Edinburgh Waverley working between a pair of 101 cars, June 1986. Alan Rintoul.

59215 seems to have the small window at the nearest end boarded over when seen at Corkerhill on the 4th April 1988. Dennis Taylor.

29th August 1993

A scene in Millerhill yard on 29/8/93, showing a line-up of withdrawn coaching stock. On the left is Mk.1 BSK no. 35450 then, in the centre, cl.104 TBS no. 59215. Behind it is cl.104 former TC no. 59153 and then Mk.2a FK no. 13461. The DMU trailers had been long withdrawn - for five-and-a-half years in the case of 59215 and four years for 59153 - and were now awaiting removal to Springburn for scrap. Leonard Rogers.

E50591 + E59233 + E59215 + E50564 working the 1721 Darlington-Saltburn at Thornaby on 18/10/80. Darlington DMU depot gained some of these BRCW 104 class units displaced from South Gosforth by the first phase of the Tyne and Wear Metro. Most were withdrawn from Darlington in 1981. John Carter.

It is labelled as "101 366", though technically it should have been 104 366, since the class of the brake vehicle determined the class prefix in ScR set numbers. It will depart at 18.05 to Edinburgh. The nearest vehicle is 51528 and the TBS is 59215; though the furthest-away vehicle was not identified definitely, it is likely to be 51534. Leonard Rogers.

A 3-car DMU smokes through Princes St Gardens in August 1987 on an Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk Grahamston stopping service. Class 101 power cars SC51528 and 51534 are sandwiching class 104 TBS 59215, originally part of a 4 car set and which was reallocated north from Neville Hill in 1982 and withdrawn at the end of 1987.
