Passing trains at Ridgmont station on 21 December 1988. Class 108 DTSL 54271 is in the platform, the incoming four-car is an interesting mix of a Class 108 DMSL (51572), a Class 104 TSL (possibly 59206), a 115 TS (possibly 59735), and a Class 101 DMBS. In the late 1980s Network South East launched an experimental service from Bedford and Kettering to Corby, well outside of NSE's normal area. The service used DMUs from Bletchley's allocation, and on Saturday 11th February 1989 a 4 car set made up of 53599 59735 59206 and 51572 (closest) depart Wellingborough for Corby. AndrewHA.
A hybrid dmu, made up from cars from Classes 108 and 115, waits at Kettering on 13 February 1989 to leave on the shuttle service to Corby. Closest is Class 108 DMBS 53599, the other vehicles are presumably 59735 + 59206 + 51572. Lewis Bevan.
A hybrid set formed of 51572 + 59206 + 59735 + 53599 (Class 104 and 115 centre cars inbetween Class 108 power cars) arrive into Bletchley station on Wednesday 3rd May 1989. AndrewHA.
On 2 May 1993 Pathfinder ran a mini-railtour in connection with an open day at Worcester using 20138+20066. The 2 locos were, unusually, hauling two 4-car DMUs, T404 (51853+59735+59604+53919) + T412 (51860+59591+59446+53116) which ran from Birmingham New Street to Worcester via the Lickey incline, and then on to Hereford and back via Great Malvern. The first of four shots was taken as train slowed for the junction at Stoke Prior before it turned onto the single line to Droitwich and Worcester. Peter Tandy.

The second of four shots was taken after a quick drive down to Ashchurch with a couple of minutes to spare. It is interesting to note that the trees on the up side of the line were still quite small in 1993. They subsequently grew very tall and were felled in 2004. Peter Tandy.

There was plenty of time to run over to Stoke Edith, on the Worcester - Hereford line, to obtain the third of four shots. The sun still co-operated for this pleasantly rural view. Peter Tandy.

This was the final shot of four of the tour - no longer in full sun which infuriated some of the more vocal enthusiasts - but still quite an acceptable shot. It is the classic view at Stoke Edith which I expect is now so overgrown as to be unusable. Peter Tandy.
T404 (53919 + 59604 + 59735 + 51853) calls at Northfield on the 12:25 Longbridge - New St., 9th July 1993. Gazza Prescott.
