An Albion-powered Derby quad set about to pass Silkstream Junction signal box. Looking brand new, the leading car M51675 was new to Cricklewood at the end of May 1960 where it spent about 18 months before settling into services from Marylebone. Stuart Mackay Collection.
51675 heads 59727, 59746 and 51668 at Quainton Road on 25/8/80 on the Quaintonian shuttle to Aylesbury. Robert Frise.

51677 and 51675 at Princes Risborough. On 5 October 1984, the 07.46 Marylebone to Banbury hit a cow between Princes Risborough and Bicester. Fortunately no-one was hurt, but the dmu sustained damage to its front end and had to be rescued by another unit which dragged it back to Risborough. It is seen here running round the rescued dmu. 51675 arrives at Quainton Road with 59759, 59729 and 51651 working the Quaintonian on 8/4/85. Robert Frise.

A Marylebone based class 115 passes on the down main line at Leamington Spa with am 1L04 High Wycombe to Matlock charter operated by Chiltern Trains on on 19 July 1985, long before privatisation and the official adoption of that name by the TOC. The set comprised of vehicles 51675, 59763, 59649 and 51671 and with 4 coaches was a relatively unusual sight at Leamington. The signal for the up main was on green so there had been a reasonable chance of a really messy picture with a third train in shot as the special passed a class 116 unit in platform 2 but all was well on this occasion. Peter Tandy.
