Norwich allocated Derby Lightweight DMUs were introduced to the service on Monday 19th September 1955, and were joined by Met-Camm Lightweights a few months later.
Some services ran only Kings Lynn - Dereham, others ran through to Norwich. The Dereham to Norwich section was also served by the service to/from Wells until October 1964.
The Dereham to Kings Lynn section closed to passengers on Monday 9 September 1968, the last passengers trains ran on Saturday 7th.

A Met-Camm Lightweight DMU in Wendling station on the Dereham - King's Lynn line. The station closed in 1968, and Wikipedia notes that two Dad's Army episodes were filmed here. Date unknown, but it's a blue unit so probably just before closing. Steve Davies Collection.
