7th July 1964 sees a Cravens set working the 1:55 PM Elgin-Cairnie Junction at Longmorn, while a Park Royal Railbus on the 12:14 PM Aviemore-Elgin awaits the token for the single line section. David Pearson.
A scan of a water damaged print showing a Cravens twin set with DTC Sc56465 closest at Craigellachie, date unknown. The GNoSR footbridge has boards listing the destinations from the platform, the left side reads "Platform 2 for Elgin, Lossiemouth Inverness and the North". The DMU is in platform 1 and is likely on an Elgin - Keith Junction service. A third platform off to the left was for the Speyside branch, for several years operated by diesel railbuses to Aviemore. A Cravens DMU at Cairnie Junction on 6 May 1968, it was the last passenger service that would run to Elgin via Craigellachie. Its journey would take it over what is now the Keith and Dufftown Railway. The DTCL is unusual in having a full yellow end while still in a green livery. Tom Burnham.
