The Leeds - Harrogate service ran from Leeds Central until its closure in April 1967, after which services used Leeds City.
The route was also served by DMUs on through services such as Liverpool - Harrogate and Leeds - York.

In later years the service was incorporated into the Leeds - Harrogate - York timetables.
The last Leeds Central - Harrogate service is seen at Holbeck Low level on Saturday 29 April 1967. there was no Sunday service and Leeds Central closed on the Monday. A three-car Rolls-Royce powered Met-Camm leads, then there are another two Met-Camm vehicles and two of a different type. David Rhodes.
