DMU Operations: North Eastern Region
Leeds / Bradford - Skipton via Ilkley
DMUs were introduced to these services on 5 January 1959, although they had been used on a summer Sunday Castleford - Bolton Abbey service since July 1957.
The route was one of two between Leeds / Bradford and Skipton, the other being via Keighley.
The Ilkley - Skipton section closed in March 1965, leaving a Leeds - Ilkley and a Bradford - Ilkley service (and the Skipton service via Keighley).
