Leeds City - Barnsley Exchange
Three-car Rolls-Royce sets (Class 111s) were introduced to this service on 3 March 1958.
In April 1960 most services were extended to become a Leeds - Sheffield service, and later timetables can be found on that page.
In summer 1960 there was a Barnsley - Leeds City - Bolton Abbey Service.

A five-Car DMU formation passing Engine Shed Junction, Leeds, in 1960 with a three-car Rolls-Royce powered Met-Camm on the rear. I think the trains destination is Barnsley, as B8 was the code for Class 2 train between Leeds and Barnsley via Wakefield. Keith Long.
