A countryside walk from Beaconsfield to Amersham took me over the Aylesbury to London line via a footbridge at Little Missenden on the 31st July 1985. There I photographed Class 115 51886 (leading) + 59728 + 59762 + 51887 on a service for Marylebone. It is pictured approaching from the west. S Gaskell.

Until the Class 165 dmus came along in 1990 services out of Marylebone to Aylesbury and Banbury were dominated by the Class 115 dmus allocated to Marylebone. This photo shows a unit (made up of 51663 + 59660 + 59752 + 51886) leaving Banbury, and passing the now-demolished Banbury South signalbox, on the 09.42 to Marylebone on 17 September 1988. The 11.39 to Marylebone departs from Aylesbury on 23 April 1989. The Class 115 set was recorded as 51886 + 59737 + 59763 + 51893 (order of power cars uncertain), the 108/115 at the front was 54274 + 51676. Lewis Bevan.
